News Detail:
Drive-By Shooting at CT Transit Bus Stop
(2009-10-07)
Bloomfield Police are investigating a 10:00 A.M. shooting that occurred at the Blue Hills Avenue at Marguerite Avenue CT Transit Bus Stop. According to witness accounts, as a Northbound CT Transit bus came to a stop to pick up a passenger, a white SUV pulled around the front of the bus, blocked its path of movement, and the SUV passenger fired multiple rounds from a handgun at a male about to get on the bus. It was reported that the vehicle then fled, at which time the incident was reported to the police department. The apparent target of the shooting escaped injury and there are no indications as of this release that anyone else sustained injury or any property was damaged by the discharged rounds. There is good reason to believe that this was not a random act of violence, but was directed at the intended victim.
The suspects were described as two Black males wearing hats and glasses (No further information as of this release).
The suspect vehicle was described as a white SUV with a MA Marker Plate (possibly a GMC Denali).
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bloomfield Police Detective Unit at (860) 242-5501 ext. 426.
