Home Invasion Arrest

Dennis Reid was arrested by warrant for his involvement in a 04/13/2009 home invasion.  Bloomfield Officers responded to a 04/13/2009 report of an unknown disturbance at 573 Bloomfield Avenue, which is a known rental property occupied by University of Hartford students.  Arriving officers located three residents outside, who reported they had just been robbed at gunpoint by two masked males.  Initial reports indicate the suspects to have gained entry to the residence and accosted the occupants.  One of the victims reported being struck by one of the robbers with a gun, receiving superficial injuries.  The victims were then able to escape from the residence and report the incident from a neighbor’s house.

Arriving Officers cleared the residence and the searched the area with assistance from West Hartford Police Canine and University of Hartford Public Safety.  No suspects were located.  An ongoing investigation led to Dennis Reid being identified as a participant in the robbery.  (Press Arrest Log / Charges)
