Bloomfield Police Department

Q. How do I find out current events involving the police department?


A. The Bloomfield Police Department posts daily Arrest and Activity Logs on our web site as well as News & Events of public interest.

Q.  How do I obtain a pistol or revolver permit?

A.  A temporary permit can be applied for at the Bloomfield Police Department.
 If it is approved, the temporary permit is an authorization only to carry firearms; it is NOT valid for the purchase of firearms.  For more information click here.

Q. How do I license my dog?


A. Dogs need to be licensed every year between June 1st and June 30th. Fees are $19 for unneutered/unspayed dogs and $8 for spayed and/or neutered dogs (there is also a late fee of $1.00 each month thereafter). Dog licenses can be purchased at the Town Clerk’s office or by mailing your payment (and a copy of your rabies and spay/neuter certificate) along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:
