Economic Development Department, Town of Bloomfield, Connecticut

The Department of Economic Development develops and administers the Town’s program for retaining and expanding existing businesses, and attracting new businesses. They also implement an aggressive tax incentive program.   Here are several of the Economic Development Department’s objectives:

• To enhance the existing pro-business environment in order to stimulate new and increased business activity for the benefit of the business and residential communities.
• To diversify and enhance the Town’s tax base.
• To encourage meaningful new employment opportunities in Bloomfield.
