Jonathan Colman

Jonathan Colman has been a member of the Town Council since January, 2003. He was the Deputy Mayor from July, 2004 to November, 2007. Jonathan has served on and chaired many Town government and community committees, including:

• Member, Public Safety Committee
• Member, Finance and Administration Committee
• Member, Economic Development and Land Use Committee
• Member, CRCOG Policy Board and Executive Committee
• Chairman, CRCOG Transportation Committee
• Chairman, CRCOG Finance and Personnel Committee
• Chairman/Member, Town Plan and Zoning Commission (6/86-1/03)
• Chairman/Member, Inland Wetland Commission (11/87-1/03)
• Chairman, Griffin Line Task Force
• Chairman, Town Center Committee

Jonathan is currently the President/CEO of The Rideshare Company, where he has served in that capacity since July of 1980. Jonathan received his Masters in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. He has lived in Bloomfield since 1972. Jonathan has six children—five of them grown—and nine grandchildren.
