Tax Reduction for Veteran's Discharge (or Military Discharge)

All Veterans who served during war times are eligible for a reduction on the assessed value of any taxable property (real estate and/or motor vehicle) that they own in Bloomfield.  Contact the Assessor's Office regarding filing and/or requesting your Discharge Papers or Honorable Discharge.  The deadline to file is October 1 in order to affect your following July tax bill.

If you have filed your discharge papers in the Assessor's Office, you may obtain a certified copy from the Town Clerk's Office. Military records are confidential; only people named on the application may receive a copy.
