Performing Arts:

  Broadway plays, symphony orchestras and other musical performances ranging from a-capella to folk to classical, children's theater, and other quality performing arts in the Bushnell's two fabulous auditoriums in Hartford.

  The Hartford Symphony is the second largest orchestra in New England and is widely recognized as one of America's leading regional orchestras.

 
Museums:

Connecticut Museum Quest is a blog/website dedicated to the museums, historical, cultural, and natue trails, and simply other intersting stuff to do in Connecticut.  The blog is hosted by Connecticut resident Stephen Wood, who indicates that the blog is his "hobby".  Regardless, it lists most of the meuseums in the state.  The museums are listed by town in alphabetical order.  Just click on "A" to scroll through a list of all of them.  The site contains the disclaimer that it is not associated with any museums, is not in any way official or guaranteed to be correct.  Think a Wikipedia of Connecticut museums and other stuff.
