Bloomfield Access Television (BATV) is an independent, non-profit corporation that provides local educational, informational, and governmental programs for Bloomfield. Programs can be seen throughout Connecticut on Comcast and ATT-Uverse cable systems, and are streamed on the BATV Website. Bloomfield Town Council, Town Plan & Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Inland Wetlands & Watercourses, and Board of Education meetings are shown/streamed live.

Friends of the Libraries 860-243-9721
The Friends of the Bloomfield Public Libraries run two book sales each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. All proceeds from the sale go to help support the unbudgeted needs of both Prosser Public Library and the Wintonbury Branch. The Friends also host an annual Spring Luncheon which features as keynote speaker a prominent member of the Hartford area community.
