The primary duty of the Assessor's Office is to discover, list and value within its jurisdiction within the Town of Bloomfield.  The three classes of property are real estate, business personal property and motor vehicles.  All property is taxed at 70% of its fair market value.

Additionally, the staff also provides data to a wide variety of internal and external customers and administers a variety of tax relief programs for the elderly home owners, veterans, totally disabled and the blind who meet certain requirements.

The assessment information database for real estate property is available online through the Town's computer aided mass appraisal (CAMA) consultant, Vision Government Solutions Inc.  This online database is updated generally on a monthly basis.  You will have to register with the site in order to access the data.  Registration is free.
